Occupational Therapy and Coaching

Occupational Therapy and Coaching are linked closely in their profession as they both strive to achieve maximum potential for the individual. Coaching provides OT’s with an exciting, different way of working and powerful tools which can be incorporated into an existed approach or as a stand alone intervention.

Coaching in the context of occupational therapy can be defined as a specific conversational partnership for facilitating client occupational change from their current state to a more desired state.

“Destiny is no matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved” [William Jennings Bryan]
